The Minnesota Timberwolves dropped their ninth straight game, falling to the Los Angeles Lakers 106-98 last night at Staples Center.

The Lakers shot 49 percent from the floor, while knocking down nine three's and once again the Wolves found themselves unable to keep up as Minnesota could make just 3-of-15 from long range.

The victory also snapped a five game Lakers losing streak.

Ryan Kelly led the way for Los Angeles with a career high 21 points, while Jabari Brown added 20. Los Angeles' highly-touted rookie, Jordan Clarkson scored 18 points and dished out nine assists.

Andrew Wiggins gave the Wolves a chance, he led them back from an 18 point second half deficit, with 29 points and 10 rebounds, for his second double-double of the season. Wiggins finished a career-best 15-of-16 from the free throw line.

Zach LaVine added 18 and Adreian Payne put together a nice game for the Wolves, finishing with 14 points and seven rebounds.

The Wolves (16-63) meet up with the NBA's best team, Golden State, on Saturday night
