Wild brace for red-hot Blues

It's another pressure-cooker for the Wild tonight as they take on St. Louis at Xcel Energy Center in St Paul.

The Wild are coming off a 1-0 loss to Chicago Monday night after blanking the Blue Jackets, 3-0, on the road in Columbus Sunday.

"We've given up one goal in two games," Wild coach Mike Yeo said Wednesday. "I think you'd sign up for that most of the time."

Still, Minnesota has lost four of their last five, and are now six points behind first-place Vancouver in the Northwest Division.

The slump started when St. Louis and the Wild last met, on April 1, a 4-1 loss to the Blues.

Since then, St. Louis has won four more, and are tied with Minnesota in the Western Conference standings with 46 points apiece.

The Wild, with nine games left in the NHL regular season, wrap up their three-game homestand Saturday against Columbus.
