Wild cut roster to 28

Believe it or not, Minnesota Wild regular season hockey is just nine days away.

Today, the Wild got ever closer to meeting the roster maximum of 23 they must come to by the regular season opener.

Cutting 19, Minnesota got down to a 28-man roster, with the foremost Minnesota Wild expert in the state, the Star Tribune's Michael Russo, telling us there were no major surprises.

Here is a list of players that made the massive 19-man cut today, here are the casualties, including former Gopher Erik Haula and forward Stephane Veilleux.
