The Minnesota Wild fell to 0-2 in their playoff series against the Chicago Blackhawks with a 4-1 loss Sunday night on the road.

The Blackhawks had the upper hand nearly the entire game, and they took advantage of the Wild's carelessness with the puck. The Star Tribune notes the Wild turned over the puck before each of Chicago's goals in the game.

Chicago got on the scoreboard first in the second period with a short-handed goal by Jonathan Towes. Then Patrick Kane put Chicago up 2-0 with just 19.9 seconds to go in the second period on this goal:

The Wild's Matt Dumba closed the gap to 2-1 with this score, just seconds into the third period.

But it didn't take long for Chicago to strike back, with a goal by Patrick Sharp that put the Blackhawks up 3-1 midway through the third.

An empty-netter by Patrick Kane with 2:07 left made the score 4-1 and put the game out of reach for the Wild.

This the third year in a row the Wild is down 0-2 to the Blackhawks in the playoffs.

The series moves to St. Paul for Game 3 on Tuesday night, and the Wild clearly hope they'll perform better on their home ice.
