The Minnesota Wild set a franchise record with their ninth straight home win on Monday night as they defeated the Anaheim Ducks by a score of 2-1.
The Wild had to come from behind for their latest win at Xcel Energy Center as Anaheim got on the board first with Troy Terry's sixth goal of the season.
With the Ducks taking the 1-0 lead into the first intermission, the Wild answered with a rare power play goal from Ryan Suter.
Suter's first goal of the season tied the game heading into the third period and Nick Bjugstad broke the tie with his fifth goal of the season to give Minnesota the lead.
Although the Wild incurred a penalty for too many men on the ice, Minnesota was able to kill it off and seal the victory.
The Wild improved to 19-10-1 on the season with the win and will host a rematch with the Ducks on Wednesday evening.
