The Wild announced this morning it has placed forward Brad Stuabitz on waivers. Staubitz has spent a lot of time in the penalty box recenty, racking up more than 70 minutes this year. Staubitz has been with the club since 2010.

Wild place Koivu on IR, recall Taffe

The Minnesota Wild has placed captain Mikko Koivu on injured reserve. Koivu injured his leg in the Wild's shootout loss to the Blackhawks last week. The move is retroactive to Wednesday, so he can be activated at any time if he feels he can play. The team recalled forward Jeff Taffe to fill Koivu's roster spot.
