Wild win another close one, drop the Blues 2-1

The Wild secured a fourth-straight win Saturday night with a 2-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues.

It almost seems like the Wild like to keep it close.

After all, Minnesota leads the NHL in games decided by one-goal.

But Mike Yeo and Co. left the home crowd at Xcel with a victory, spearheaded by the Wild's second goal- an unassisted effort from Guillaume Latendresse.

The Wild will look to make it five-straight as they head to Calgary at the start of a challenging road trip.

Wild lose to Blue Jackets, 3-1

The No. 3-rated Gophers (18-9-1, 14-5-0) ended their Friday night losing streak at Mariucci Arena with a 2-1 victory over St. Cloud State (10-13-4, 7-9-3). Nick Bjugstad scored the game-winning goal about halfway through the second period. U of M will travel to the National Hockey Center in St. Cloud Saturday night for the second half of this home-and-home series.
