The Wild got their first preseason win, a 4-3 victory over the Winnipeg Jets Saturday night at the Xcel Energy Center, thanks to an impressive power play showing.

Minnesota scored on three of five power-play situations, including a goal by Matt Dumba who is hoping to get a spot on the team's final roster, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Defenseman Jared Spurgeon scored the third power-play goal of the game with 4:51 left in regulation to break a 3-3 tie and give the Wild the lead for good.

The Wild also got power-play goals from Mikael Granlund and Nino Niederreiter, according to NHL.com. Erik Haula scored a penalty-shot goal late in the first period.

Goalie Niklas Backstrom, who had a great game against the Jets when they played last week, wasn't quite as sharp Saturday night, the Pioneer Press notes. He made 14 saves on 17 shots, but allowed Nicolas Petan to score on a shot that went over his shoulder. Backstrom also missed on scoring shots from Matt Halischuk and Grant Clitsome for the Jets.

The Wild play next on Monday night at the Xcel Energy Center, when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins.
