Wilf: 'I'm sticking with my team'

Tough couple of weeks for Vikings owner Zygi Wilf, as he battles bad pub surrounding the Vikings stadium deal, his personal finances and his rapidly sinking (and stinking) football team.

But the erstwhile New York Giants fan is undeterred, and adhering to his plan of getting his stadium and keeping his team to.

As the Star Tribune reports, Wilf was asked if he had any ideas about making some changes. “I’m sticking with my team," he said. "That’s our team. We’re going to stick with it.”

The Pioneer Press notes that the New Jersey real estate mogul was bummed that he couldn't bust some brags on his East Coast homies.

"It was a tough loss," Wilf said, according to the PiPress. "Thought we'd come back here and pick up a win. Every loss is a tough loss."

The St. Paul paper also notes that Wilf's love of football is rooted in his love of the Giants, and that he also expressed confidence in coach Leslie Frazier.

NBC's Pro Football Talk isn't so sure, calling Wilf's statements "vague" and adding that Wilf has been willing to make changes in midstream before. That’s how current coach Leslie Frazier got his job, replacing Brad Childress in 2010 after a 3-7 start.
