Williams, lowly Kings latest to down Wolves

The Wolves keep putting up points, but one side of the floor isn't getting them victories.

In another shootout, Minnesota came up short against one of the West's worst, losing to Sacramento 111-108.

Derrick Williams, former Wolves No. 2 overall pick that was traded to the Kings earlier this season, put up 16 points in his first game back at Target Center, serving as a more-than-adequate sixth man for Sacramento.

Rudy Gay led all scorers with 33, while guard Isaiah added 26 points and seven assists in the victory.

Kevin Love's eight points in the fourth-quarter and 27 on the game led Minnesota, but no other Wolf topped 14 in the loss.

The 108 points the Wolves put up top their second-best-in-the-league average of 107, but the 111 they gave up is nothing new, as they've allowed 100 or more 24 times this year and rank 24th in the league in points allowed.

The Kings have now won four of their last five but still sit with just 14 wins on the year to 23 losses, while the Wolves, now 18-20, will try to bounce back Friday against Toronto.
