Willingham and Burroughs arrive in Fort Myers, Morneau still hasn't reported

Newcomers Josh Willingham and Sean Burroughs arrived at Twins' Spring Training on Wednesday. The only players left to report are Justin Morneau and Oswaldo Arcia. Thursday is the official check in date for position players. As for Burroughs, he'll be playing some first, second and third base during camp.

Morneau, Willingham power Twins over Royals

Josh Willingham, Justin Morneau and Trevor Plouffe each homered to lead the Twins over the Royals, 10-7 last night in Kansas City. Ben Revere added three hits and a couple of RBI as well. The Twins are playing their best baseball of the season, having won six of their last seven games.

Morneau a little behind at the plate

After playing in only 150 games over the past two seasons, Justin Morneau is showing some rust at the plate. He's off to a 3-22 start this spring -- something manager Ron Gardenhire expected. Gardenhire says Morneau is going to have some good days and bad days, but the important thing is that he is healthy now.

Questions still surround Morneau

Justin Morneau's health will play a large role in whether the Twins are successful this upcoming season. There is no denying the slugger can still hit a baseball a mile, but if he's not on the field the Twins are more likely a playoff viewer than a contender.

Twins outfielder Josh Willingham is swinging a bigger bat than the player he replaced on the Minnesota roster, Michael Cuddyer. Willingham has eight homers and 25 RBI so far. Cuddyer, playing with Colorado, has four homers and 23 RBI.

Morneau powers Twins past Yankees, 6-5

Justin Morneau finished with three hits, including two home runs and three RBI in the Twins’ 6-4 win over the Yankees. Jason Marquis earned the win in his Twins debut. He struggled in the first inning before settling in for five solid innings. Josh Willingham extended his hitting streak to 12 games.

Morneau 'miles ahead' in concussion recovery, still wants to play first base

Justin Morneau says he is "miles ahead" of where he was at this time last year when recovering from a concussion. Morneau also believes he gives the Twins the best chance to win when he's playing first base, but he's open to playing wherever Ron Gardenhire wants him to play.
