It didn't take long for the awards to start coming in for Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore.

The WNBA named Moore the Western Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

It's nothing new for Moore – it's the 15th time she has won the award in her six seasons in the WNBA. Moore has been instrumental in Minnesota's 3-0 start to the season, which included a 78-71 victory over Seattle Sunday night.

Moore led Minnesota in assists in all three of those victories. She was also the team's top scorer twice and the leading rebounder once. It was an impressive week for the Lynx leader.

  • She scored 27 points and dished out 10 assists in Minnesota's season opener victory over Phoenix.
  • She scored 22 points and dished out six assists in their victory over Chicago
  • Moore had 17 points, nine boards and four assists against Seattle

After three games, Moore already finds herself second in the league in scoring and assists. She is also in the top 15 in blocks, FG accuracy, three-point accuracy, FT accuracy and minutes.
