He's considered an extremely skilled big man.

We don't blame if you if you don't know who Justin Patton is, but you should probably educate yourself a little bit since the Wolves called him up from the G League on Monday.

Patton, a center from Creighton, was Minnesota's 2017 first-round draft pick, hearing his name called with the 16th overall pick.

Technically, the Bulls drafted him 16th overall and then traded him to Minnesota along with Jimmy Butler in exchange for Zach LaVine, Kris Dunny and the No. 7 overall pick.

A broken bone in his foot kept him from doing much of anything until December. But he's been fairly productive (averaging 11.9 points on 51.5% shooting, 5.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks) in 25 games with the Wolves' G League affiliate, the Iowa Wolves.

No word from head coach Tom Thibodeau if he plans to play Patton at all.

Jerry Zgoda made the point that this could be a temporary move to get Patton some exposure to the NBA while the G League is on a 10-day break.
