Wolves assistant Rick Brunson resigns amid reports of improper treatment of women
The Timberwolves announced Tuesday that assistant coach Rick Brunson has filed his resignation, effective immediately.
Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic is reporting, and multiple outlets have since confirmed, that Brunson was facing "allegations of improper interactions with several women while on the job.
It's unclear at this stage if it has anything to do with his resignation.
ESPN's Chris Haynes reports that one of the women is a media member.
Brunson's resignation comes less than 24 hours after the Wolves fired three other staff members, including Player Development Coach Vince Legarza, Shooting Coach Peter Patton and Assistant Video Coordinator Wes Bohn.
Three years ago, Brunson was acquitted of all charges after being accused of battery and attempted sexual assault of a masseuse in Illinois, with whom he was having an extramarital affair.
