The Minnesota Timberwolves have continued bargain shopping during the NBA free agency.

The Wolves have agreed to a contract with Brandon Rush, who the Wolves hope will be able to give them some much-needed shooting off the bench.

The news was announced by Rush's agent Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports.

Rush averaged 4.2 points and 2.5 rebounds per game for Golden State last season. When healthy, Rush has been able to provide teams with a shooter that can knock down 3-pointers off the bench.

Like some of the other candidates the Wolves have expressed interest in, Rush had his share of suitors.

While he's battled some knee injuries, he has been able to shoot 40-percent or better from the 3-point line over the last eight seasons.

It will fill a need for the Wolves, who have been near the bottom of the league in 3-point field goals and attempts last season.

Rush is the second signing for the Wolves during free agency. Minnesota added Cole Aldrich on Monday.
