Wolves cut down Nets, send Garnett to first loss against Minnesota

Every starter reached double figures for the Wolves, and Minnesota bashed Brooklyn at Target Center 111-81.

The main storyline coming into the contest was this game possibly being Kevin Garnett's last in Minnesota, as Brooklyn does not come to Target Center again this year.

Garnett received a warm ovation when introduced and Minnesota showed a highlight package of KG in a timeout in the first half, before sending him to his first defeat in eight games against his former club.

He would play just 21 minutes and pick up a flagrant and technical foul on the same possession early in the second half for a forearm to Kevin Love's chest after an exchange between the two.

Things would calm down but it would trigger a six-point possession for the Wolves and an 11-0 run overall, which would put the game out of reach for the Nets.

Minnesota forced 20 Brooklyn turnovers, out-assisted the Nets 28-7, and all 13 Wolves that played, A.J. Price included, would score.

The Wolves back at it Saturday night in Houston for a 7 p.m. tipoff against the Rockets.
