The Minnesota Timberwolves fell to the Houston Rockets Wednesday night at the Target Center. Although the Wolves led for much of the game, once by as many as 14 points, they were overpowered by a rally by the Rockets at the end of the fourth quarter. The final score was 87-84. The Star Tribune reports it was Houston's fifth straight win.

Kevin Love was back in action after missing a game because of an eye injury. Love pulled down 12 rebounds, but scored just seven points. Ricky Rubio scored eight. High scorer for Minnesota was J.J. Barea with 18.

It was Rockets coach Kevin McHale's first game back in Minnesota since the death of his 23-year-old daughter, Sasha. She died last month of complications from lupus. The Hibbing native and former Gopher great and Timberwolves executive dabbed his eyes as the crowd cheered after his name was called during pregame introductions.
