Report: Wolves after Corey Brewer in sign-and-trade

This definitely seems like a Minnesota Timberwolves thing to do.

Former Wolf Corey Brewer, who was the seventh pick in the 2007 NBA Draft by Minnesota, is reportedly the centerpiece of a possible sign-and-trade with the Denver Nuggets.

Brewer spent four years with Minnesota, and started every game in 2009-10, putting up 13 points per appearance while shooting 43 percent from the field.

Aside from that, Brewer's years in Minnesota were unremarkable, never averaging above nine points per contest in any of the other three seasons, while starting just 65 games combined those years.

Last year he came off the bench for Denver and appeared in all 82 games, this being one of his finer outings.

The Wolves reportedly want him to have a defensive wing to compliment offensive minded swingmen Kevin Martin and Chase Budinger.

No word on what the Wolves are offering up.

Meanwhile, Metta World Peace is reportedly a no-go.
