Miami Heat 96

Minnesota Timberwolves 84

The Minnesota Timberwolves dropped their second straight game, falling to the Miami Heat 96-84 Thursday night at Target Center.

1. Wolves starters struggle

It was really the first time this season the Timberwolves starters struggled to help keep them in the game. Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins combined to go 8-of-31 from the floor.

Towns finished with just six points, while Wiggins had 12.

As a team the Wolves shot just 35 percent on the night.

2. South Beach balance

The Heat put together a balanced attack that saw all five of their starters finish in double figures. Dwayne Wade led the way for Miami with 25 points.

Chris Bosh added a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards. Goran Dragic added 18.

3. Muhammad a Minnesota bright spot

The Wolves weren't effective at much Thursday night, but Shabazz Muhammad continued to play well.

Muhammad finished with 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting. He also grabbed six rebounds.
