The Minnesota Timberwolves rallied in the final moments and escaped St. Louis with a one-point 113-112 victory over the Chicago Bulls in their final preseason game Friday night.

The Wolves trailed 104-94 with 5:22 to play, but went on a 9-0 run to cut it to a one-point game. Then with less than two minutes to play, Anthony Bennett put the Wolves in front.

Ricky Rubio had 19 points to lead the way. He also had five assists and two steals in the win.

Bennett and Thaddeus Young each scored 17 points. Young had a big first half. During one first quarter stretch he knocked down three consecutive three-pointers, helping the Wolves build a 35-31 lead.

Chicago evened up the score at 64 at the half, then took the lead 81-73 after three quarters.

But the fourth belonged to Minnesota. J.J. Barea had a big fourth quarter helping to lead the Wolves back. He finished with nine points and four assists.

Minnesota opens the regular season on Wednesday night in Memphis.
