The Timberwolves will play a scrimmage free to the public at Target Center on Wednesday, and then it's off to Las Vegas for the NBA Summer League.
Minnesota's opening game of the preliminary round is Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers, and it will mark the professional debut for Karl-Anthony Towns, the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft.
Towns headlines the roster that includes fellow first-round pick, point guard Tyus Jones, second year guard Zach LaVine and second year forward/center Adreian Payne.
The full roster is available on the team's website.
The Star Tribune reports that soon to be signed Euroleague MVP Nemanja Bjelica will not play in the Summer League, nor will power forward Anthony Bennett. In Bennett's case, it's unclear if he's missing the games in order to accommodate his schedule to play for Canada in the Pan Am Games or because he's uncertain what his future in Minnesota holds.
Following the three-game preliminary schedule (Minnesota also plays Chicago on Saturday and Utah on Monday), the Wolves will play at least two more games (depending on success they'll play more) in the actual tournament, which wraps up July 20.
