Minnesota Timberwolves 90

Utah Jazz 103

A second half run by Utah led to the Timberwolves downfall Friday night. Minnesota fell to the Jazz 103-90 in Salt Lake City.

1. Jazz march away late in third

After shooting over 57 percent in the first half, the Timberwolves suddenly fell cold in the third quarter. Minnesota went scoreless for seven minutes from the 5:05 mark of the third quarter, until the 9:33 mark of the fourth allowing the Jazz to open it up.

Utah went on a 14-0 run over that stretch, turning a 1 point Wolves lead into a 13-point lead for the Jazz.

2. LaVine continues hot streak

Zach LaVine was a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor in the first half of Friday night's game, including a buzzer-beating jumper right before the break.

LaVine made 19 straight 2-point shots, before he finally missed one. He finished the night 9-of-12 from the floor, and with 19 points.

3. Career high for KAT

Karl-Anthony Towns recorded his 24th double-double of the season and recorded a new career high with 32 points and 12 boards.

The Wolves big guy scored in a variety of ways, at the rim and even from behind the arc.
