Gophers’ freshman wide receiver Marcus Jones is out for the season. Coach Jerry Kill says Jones has a torn ACL. Jones -- who also returns kicks -- injured his knee in practice before last week’s win over Iowa. His season highlight was a 92-yard kick return for a touchdown against Purdue.
Gray not on Gophers injury report
Junior QB MarQueis Gray is battling turf toe but is not listed on the Gophers injury report. That means he could play Saturday at Purdue. However, starting right tackle Jimmy Gjere will be held out with a concussion. Senior cornerback Troy Stoudermire will miss his second straight game because of a broken arm.
Vikings Wednesday injury report
The Vikings remain mostly healthy outside of the obvious season-ending injury to Antoine Winfield. The only other big names on Wednesday's injury report were Anthony Herrera and Erin Henderson. Herrera is still bothered by a knee injury while Henderson has an issue with a hamstring.
Knee injury keeps Decker out of practice
Former Golden Gophers wide receiver Eric Decker was held out of Broncos' practice Wednesday because of a sprained MCL. He suffered the injury during last week's playoff win over the Steelers. The Rocori high school grad is questionable for this weekend's game against the Patriots.
Herrera only big name on injury report
Coming off the bye week the Vikings are looking as healthy as they have all season. The team issued its Thursday injury report, and it was basically a blank sheet of paper. The only names on the list were Chris Cook, Antoine Winfield, and Anthony Herrera. Cook is suspended, Winfield will play, and Herrera's injured knee kept him out of practice.
