Wednesday marks one year to the day that Teddy Bridgewater went down with a freak injury during a non-contact passing drill during practice.

He still hasn't been cleared to practice, but that could happen based on the way Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer spoke of Bridgewater on Tuesday.

"The reports I get are all positive," Zimmer said. "And he knows where he's at and where he's got to get to. I think he's progressing well. He's all in and trying to get ready to play."

Just how close is Bridgewater? Only two things appear to be separating him from a return.

"He's got to be able to protect himself on the field and be able to do the movements that are required by his position," Zimmer explained. "When he's there, he'll practice."

Over the weekend, Jay Glazer and Fox Sports lured Zimmer into their bus and Zimmer said "there's a possibility he (Teddy) could get back this year."

For now, Bridgewater remains on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list.
