Today's forecast video with Novak Weather focuses on:
- A bitter COLD overnight & tomorrow AM.
- Moderating temperatures for this weekend that will also feature an opportunity for nuisance snows.
- Strong Clipper system that arrives on Monday with snow/wind & falling temps.
- Mother lode of Arctic air that plunges into MN early next week.
Highs Thursday will struggle to get above zero, with wind chills again in dangerous territories in the morning before improving during the day.
According to the National Weather Service, an inch or less of snow is possible in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin on Friday, followed by another shot an an inch or so of snow Saturday night.
A third clipper is poised to move through the region Sunday into Monday, and this is the one that Novak Weather and the NWS are watching for a better shot at accumulating snow, though just how much at this point is unclear. But the Sunday-Monday system will have more moisture to work with.
