This gloom chill garbage weather week got a little better with some sunshine Thursday afternoon, and Minnesota might get a real spring day Saturday.
Here's what's in the pipeline, brought to you by Pet Evolution.
Friday should be similar to Thursday (a little warmer) with a mix of clouds and sun – some showers and thunderstorms in western and central Minnesota that should weaken as they near the metro during the afternoon – before our first really nice day in what feels like forever arrives on Saturday.
Sunny skies with temps pushing above 70 in the Twin Cities will allow you to go outside and be comfortable on Saturday, although there's a chance of rain moving in Saturday night through early Sunday.
Then, more gloom and doom with widespread rain chances returning Monday night. Specifics about that system aren't trustworthy at this point, but depending on how far north a warm front lifts, there could be some solid rumbles of thunder.
Seriously, though, enjoy Saturday because there aren't any other 70-degree days in the 10-day forecast. That could change, but for now, it's our reality.
