Sven Sundgaard takes a look at the severe storms – including a possible derecho – that are set to hit southwest Minnesota.

The system is bringing winds in the region of 70-80 mph after moving into Minnesota from South Dakota.

For the rest of the week, Minnesota can expect the humid weather to stick around, along with some "limited, spotty thunder chances."

As Sven says: "We’ll rely on ‘ridge runners,’ or disturbances along the northern edge of the heat dome creating periodic hit and miss storms."

Otherwise, however, everything will stay relatively dry in the Twin Cities thanks to the ongoing heat dome.
