Tuesday's Grand Casino forecast from Novak Weather touches on:
- Potential for a touch of wet snow overnight.
- Continued cool temperatures due to cloud cover over the next 48 hours.
- Impressive warm-up expected by this weekend.
Novak Weather says the temperature in the Twin Cities could rise into the mid-60s this coming weekend.
Meanwhile, here's a map from the National Weather Service that shows approximately how much snow fell across southern Minnesota on Monday. Mankato got a foot of wet snow, while 10 inches fell in Rochester.
As Novak Weather points out in his video, the weather will be mostly quiet in Minnesota for the next handful of days other than a brush of light snow overnight, though a storm system that will chug across the central U.S. could spawn long-lived, dangerous tornadoes in Dixie Alley on Wednesday.
Still 24 hours from the onset of dangerous storms developing (as of 2 p.m. Tuesday), the Storm Prediction Center has the a moderate risk in place for parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi.
