March 14 Weather with Sven: The latest on Monday's snowstorm
Beware the Ides of March right!? Looks like the Twin Cities doesn’t completely miss out but by far the odds of significant snow is pointed at southwest and south central Minnesota where 10”+ could fall in some spots.
It starts late tonight and the snow reaches the metro by midday Monday (probably noonish) as the snow shrinks and pushes east.
Dry air from the northeast could be a challenge for us on the northern edge of the snow totals. 1-3” seems the most likely range but it could be zero, or if the latest EURO is right- heavier totals push into south metro and we see some 4”-5” amounts in southwestern suburbs.
