Here's what the National Weather Service says about next week's potential storm system:

"There still remains quite a bit of variability in storm track and timing between these different model systems. The track in particular is important as locations on the cool side of this system could see a transition to a wintry mix or snow, while the warm side of the system will remain all rain throughout. Timing will also impact precipitation type as the cooler temperature overnight will increase the chance for frozen or mixed precipitation. Bottom line: confidence is increasing in a system in the mid to late part of next week, but details remain uncertain."
