Oct. 20 Novak Weather: Tuesday storm ends, eyes on Thursday snowstorm

Video Duration:

One heckuva October snowstorm has buried Minnesota with the first major snowfall of the 2020-21 cold season, which honestly we shouldn't even be entering into this early

But here we are, and 5-7 inches of heavy, wet snow has piled up on a line that goes west to east through the south Twin Cities metro area.

Novak Weather has been tracking the storm and also has his eyes on what promises to be an active week ahead.

The next storm system will blow through Minnesota on Thursday, bringing showers, thunderstorms and heavy snow to the state. In fact, a winter storm watch is already in effect for areas around Fargo, with potential to grow as the hours progress.
