One of Minnesota's most trusted meteorologists is bringing his talents to Bring Me The News.
Bring Me The News is partnering with Sven Sundgaard, the long time Twin Cities TV meteorologist, to enhance our Minnesota weather coverage.
A native of Cottage Grove who got his meteorology degree at St. Cloud State University, Sven has been a staple in Minnesota weather coverage for the past two decades, and recently launched his own YouTube channel, "Explore with Sven: Weather."
Sven is obsessed with Minnesota weather, and his forecast videos are an exploration into the workings of the atmosphere, helping to unpack and explain what will happen in the future.
Those that have been following him since his KARE 11 days know he’s been all over the world, and that he dives into important climate and conservation issues as well as the daily hometown weather. He’ll continue to share some of the latest climate and science news around the world with BMTN.
He now joins a Bring Me The News weather team that also includes the respected Novak Weather, and between them they will provide comprehensive coverage to ensure Minnesotans never miss a beat when it comes to receiving timely, thorough and trustworthy weather information, be it the imminent arrival of a storm, or the potential for interesting weather days ahead.
And like you, we can't wait to see the firepower Sven and Novak bring when Old Man Winter starts teasing massive snowfalls and blizzard conditions. It's safe to say you'll be in good hands this winter.
What's more, in these strange pandemic times, Sven will be delivering videos from wherever he finds most suitable, which could mean he's talking to you from his living room couch, at the gym, or while he's out for a walk around the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes.
You'll be able to find all of Sven's weather reports on the Bring Me The News home and weather pages, as well as on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
