Hitting 100 degrees in the Twin Cities doesn't happen all that often no matter the time of year, but Monday's high temp of 101 at MSP Airport marked the eighth time in 130 years of record-keeping that it's happened in June in the metro.

Monday goes down as only the 67th time in recorded history that the Twin Cities has topped 100 degrees. It's happened just seven times in the past 30+ years. 

  • June 20, 2022: 101 degrees
  • May 28, 2018: 100 degrees
  • July 6, 2012: 102 degrees
  • July 4, 2012: 101 degrees
  • June 7, 2011: 103 degrees
  • July 31, 2006: 101 degrees
  • July 13, 1995: 101 degrees
