Way Over Our Heads podcast: Triple-header of severe storms, dangerous heat

Buckle up, Minnesota. It's going to be a wild 48 hours.

As part of Bring Me The News' severe weather coverage, we often rely on podcast host Jim du Bois and climatologist Kenny Blumenfeld to provide the audio forecast for what could happen with weekly episodes of their Way Over Our Heads podcast

This week, however, they've produced a special edition episode because, as Blumenfeld, the risk for severe weather the next 48 hours is "much higher than anything we've seen this year" in Minnesota.

Conditions are favorable for a potential derecho producing damaging winds across a wide area for a sustained period of time.

After the Friday night squall line blasts through Minnesota, dangerous heat will follow along with another possibly dangerous severe weather day on Saturday.

We basically have three separate weather events to watch," said Blumenfeld. Hit play in the player below to listen to the 12-minute special episode.
