Weather with Sven Sundgaard: Chilly and drier ahead of the next big storm system
A cold start to the week yet again, including close but not quite record cold today.
It will be mainly dry for a period until a few showers Thursday and a more significant storm system Friday into Saturday. That system could impact the rising Red River.
Meanwhile, it's been windy this April. But as annoying as the wind is for some, it is a huge boost to wind-powered energy.

Per Sven: "The one bonus we can think about with the wind is how much wind power is generated. Yesterday, the equivalent of 4 million homes, and there's only 2.4 million homes in Minnesota. So we would be generating surplus energy yesterday."
