1 dead, 1 injured in shooting at Burnsville townhome

An early morning shooting in Burnsville left one person dead and another wounded.

Police say the shooting occurred around 2 a.m. at a townhouse in the 2100 block of East 117th Street in Burnsville. Both victims were driven about a mile away to the Super America gas station off of Cliff Road in Eagan, WCCO says.

KSTP reports both locations are being treated as crime scenes.

Both victims had multiple gunshot wounds, FOX 9 reports. The surviving victim was transported to the hospital. His or her condition is unknown.

The identity of the deceased has not been released.

KARE 11 says investigators are talking to witnesses and actively looking for suspects. No arrests have been made.

Both Burnsville and Eagan police departments are investigating.
