1 girl killed, 2 teens injured in St. Paul

Police haven't said if they were shot.

A girl was killed and two other teens were injured in an incident Wednesday night.

St. Paul police, who were responding to a report of shots fired, found three people who were injured at a home on Case Avenue East around 10:30 p.m., a news release says.

Police didn't say how they were injured or if they had been shot, but did say paramedics pronounced a juvenile girl dead.

An 18-year-old male and 17-year-old female were transported to the hospital for treatment.

No other details have been released, and police are trying to figure out what led to the incident. Anyone with information on what happened is asked to contact the St. Paul Police Homicide Unit at 651-266-5650.

The Ramsey County Medial Examiner will release the identity of the girl who died, as well as her cause of death. The conditions of the other two teenagers hasn't been released.

This is the fourth homicide in St. Paul this year, the Star Tribune notes.
