One man is dead and another hospitalized in critical condition after they were involved in a "domestic incident" Saturday afternoon, according to Minneapolis police.

Police say they received a report of a man screaming for help at a residence in the 1500 block of Queen Avenue North shortly after noon Saturday.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found one man in front of the house and the other man inside the house – both with serious injuries, WCCO reports.

Police say the two men had an altercation inside the house and both were injured by "straight edge objects."

They were taken to North Memorial Medical Center, where one of the men died a short time later. The other is in critical condition, according to police.

Their identities have not yet been released.
