1 person killed in 4-vehicle crash in Medina

One person was killed and several others injured Monday evening in a crash involving four vehicles in Medina in the west metro area.

The Star Tribune reports three other people were injured and taken to North Memorial Medical Center. Their conditions were not immediately available.

According to KARE 11, a total of seven people were involved in the accident.

The crash occurred about 7:30 p.m. Monday at Hwy. 55 and Mohawk Drive.

Hwy. 55 was shut down for several hours after the accident while investigators reconstructed the accident to determine its cause, according to the Star Tribune.

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, Medina Police Department and Minnesota State Patrol were working together on the investigation.

More information is expected to be released on Tuesday.
