$100K worth of memorabilia stolen from Twin Cities collectibles store

Baseball cards, signed sports equipment and rare comics were among the items stolen.

Dozens of valuable pieces of sports memorabilia have been stolen from a mom-and-pop collectibles store in Hopkins, leaving the owners devastated.

Ultimate Collectibles at 908 Main Street was hit by burglars last Monday, with the thieves getting away with a huge haul of memorabilia including autographed goods, rare comic books and hundreds of baseball cards.

The store posted the full list of stolen items on its Facebook page, with police telling KSTP that the value of the stolen goods could be upward of $100,000.

Among the items stolen was the New York Yankees jacket pictured below, which the store wants people to keep an eye out for in order to help police catch the burglars.

Here's the store's Facebook post that includes the full list of stolen items:

It is with deep sadness that I report Ultimate Collectibles had a major theft this week. We lost both sports cards and...

The store is offering a "substantial cash reward" to track down their stolen goods and the burglars and are advising other store owners to review their security, saying that there have been several collectible store thefts in recent weeks.

The burglars seemed to know what they were doing, with KSTP reporting they dismantled and stole the store's entire surveillance system.

Ultimate Collectibles is urging people who are approached to buy any of the stolen items to make "an extremely low offer" that is likely to be refused and then be sure to get a license plate number of the person offering the material.

"If you can purchase them very cheap we would certainly reimburse anyone who can recover any of these items," the store said.
