Twelve Minnesota National Guard soldiers arrived home Saturday after a one-year deployment in Afghanistan. With Father's Day Sunday, Army Maj. John P. Wisniewski says the reunion with their families in Roseville will be extra special since nine of the 12 soldiers are dads.

A 26-year-old soldier killed in Afghanistan on Sept. 13 was a student at Minnesota State University Mankato. Sgt. Kyle B. Osborn of Lafayette, Indiana was a civil engineering student but dropped out after two years to join the military. Funeral services will be held in Indiana.
