13-year-old girl gets dying wish: prom


Doctors last month told 13-year-old Deonna Day, who suffers from a rare form of cancer called synovial sarcoma, that she had just weeks to live. As her dying wish, she asked for a prom, KSTP reported.

In just ten days, family, business donors and school officials in the central Minnesota town of Onamia helped pull the event together, complete with a limo ride for the guest of honor and 50 donated dresses for Deonna and her friends, the station reports.
