A 17-year-old boy died after being found unresponsive in a dorm room at North Dakota State University on Sunday.

NDSU police responded to a call for the unresponsive teenager in Sevrinson Hall, but despite life-saving efforts, the teen was pronounced dead, according to an email from the school

The school says there are no signs of foul play, and there's no ongoing threat to the campus community.

Officials haven't released a cause of death, but Valley News Live spoke to some students who said the 17-year-old was drinking the night before.

He hasn't been identified, but school officials say he's not an active NDSU student. Some media outlets are reporting he was visiting from Burnsville, Minnesota.

Posts on social media indicate the teen was Devin Delaney, who went to Burnsville High School. A GoFundMe Page has been set up to help his family with funeral expenses.

Those who knew him are posting memories of Delaney on social media.
