Moody, who comes to WCCO from the Fox-affiliate in Indianapolis, will make his Twin Cities debut on Friday, Aug. 24. Moody has also worked in Duluth as a morning anchor.

Bachmann TV ad hits airwaves one-day before Iowa caucuses

Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann was born and raised in Iowa. The presidential candidate is reminding Iowa's Republican caucus voters of those roots in her only TV ad airing less than 24-hours before Tuesday's caucuses. The Des Moines Register reports the spot started airing across the state Monday.

Iowa missing girls case now considered abduction

Investigators reclassified the disappearance of two missing Iowa cousins as an abduction case Friday after an FBI dive team failed to find their bodies in a lake near where they were last seen a week ago. Lyric Cook-Morrissey, 10, and Elizabeth Collins, 8, vanished after riding bikes near Meyers Lake in Evansdale, a small town in northeast Iowa that has been devastated by their disappearance. Police are also keeping a closer watch on Lyric's father, who has stopped cooperating with police.

KSTP adds new anchor, reporter

KSTP-TV is bringing two Minnesotans back to the state: Eric Kahnert, who grew up in Apple Valley, joins the station as weeknight news anchor on Labor Day, the Pioneer Press reports. Todd Wilson, a Minneapolis native, starts work at the Hubbard-owned station as a general assignment reporter Thursday.

Former Twin Cities anchor returns to WGN-TV

Former KSTP-TV anchor Mark Suppelsa will be back on-the-air Thursday evening after a month away for alcohol rehab. In May, the veteran anchorman publicly announced he was seeking treatment for alcohol addiction in Minnesota. Time Out Chicago reports his ongoing recovery will include counseling sessions in Chicago.
