Crash in northern Minn. claims three lives, critically injures one

The Minnesota State Patrol says a 27-year-old woman from Foxworth, Miss., and her two young children were killed in a single-vehicle rollover Saturday evening on U.S. Highway 2 near Cass Lake, the Pioneer Press reports. The driver, a 28-year-old man also from Mississippi, was last listed in critical condition at a Duluth hospital.

The northern Minnesota highway was icy when their pickup slid off the road, crashed into trees and landed on its roof. Alcohol was not detected.

Meanwhile, Duluth News Tribune reports four people were also injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash in St. Louis County late Saturday. The crash happened near Makinen on County Highway 16 and Lorrey Lane. All injuries were considered non-life threatening.
