Eden Prairie police arrested two men suspected in an assault and robbery of a man in the locker room of a Life Time Fitness gym in Eden Prairie, according to media reports.

Police got a call about the attack at about 5:50 p.m. Sunday at the Life Time at 6233 Baker Road, WCCO reports.

About an hour later, a similar assault and burglary was reported inside the entrance of a home in the 8000 block of Grier Lane. The attacker was unknown to the victim, KSTP reports.

Victims in both attacks were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment.

Witness reports helped lead police to two men suspected in both attacks, who investigators found in the 11000 block of Westwind Drive. The suspects were in jail on suspicion of third-degree assault and first-degree robbery, the Star Tribune reports Tuesday morning. The Hennepin County attorney’s office was expected to file charges.

The incident at Life Time followed another metro-area gym fracas at LA Fitness on March 2. Police in that case said weight plates and barbells were tossed around during a brawl by several men who got into a dispute. Three men, ages 18, 18 and 20, were arrested.
