What else you should know
GoMN doesn't name suspects until they have been charged, but St. Paul PD says the SUV owner was arrested on Friday, with the driver following on Saturday.
It follows a search over the past few weeks for the driver of the SUV that was traveling at an estimated 60mph when it ran a red light and struck Solano as he passed through an intersection.
The announcement of the arrests came just hours after dozens of cyclists gathered outside Brasa and went on a memorial ride for Hernandez Solano, a keen biker who was xtremely vigilant about cycling safety.
The Star Tribune reports the 52 year old has lived in the U.S. for 17 years, working to support his family in Mexico.
His family obtained a visa so his son could bring his father's body back to Mexico for burial. He also has two daughters and a granddaughter all in Mexico.
