Two men have been taken into custody for what may have been a robbery-motivated abduction of another man from a driveway in Loretto, Minn., in the west metro.

Medina, Minn., police said the two men, ages 31 and 29, are suspected of taking a 37-year-old man at gunpoint from his driveway in Loretto just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, KARE 11 reports. Investigators believe the two men followed the 37-year-old home from his job as a Verizon store manager and they intended to steal his keys so they could burglarize the store, KARE reported.

The victim's wife had called police and told them two men had taken her husband in a red Dodge Charger, KARE reports. Police used a patrol helicopter in pursuit of the vehicle and eventually found it near Pioneer Trail and Highway 55. When officers stopped the vehicle, the two suspects ran off and the 37-year-old man was found inside the car unhurt.

Police chased the two men down and found them after midnight, FOX 9 reports. (FOX says the men are 29 and 30.) The victim was reunited with his family, FOX says. Police do not believe the incident was random, the station reports.
