Two people were killed in a three-vehicle crash that happened just after noon Saturday in Dakota County.
KSTP-TV reports that three others were involved in the accident on Highway 52 just north of Cannon Falls, according to the state patrol.
A 2000 Honda Civic traveling southbound on Highway 52 was turning eastbound onto 280th Street when it was broadsided by a 2012 Toyota RAV4 going north on Highway 52, according to KAAL-TV. The Honda Civic failed to yield, according to the state patrol.
The Honda Civic was driven by Lui Thein, 21, of St. Paul, reports the Pioneer Press. Two passengers in the Civic, La Yin and Naw Wah, both 48 and of St. Paul, were ejected and killed, according to the State Patrol. Neither was wearing a seat belt, according to the paper.
The Toyota Rav4 was driven by Christina Chen, 23, of Rochester, reports the PiPress.
Chen and her passenger, Travis Chen, 17, also of Rochester, were uninjured, according to the State Patrol.
