Minneapolis police say two people were found shot to death in a home on the city's south side Friday evening in an apparent case of domestic violence.
In a statement, police say two other people who were at the house in the 2200 block of 10th Ave. South were taken into custody. One of them is a suspect in the shooting; the other is in protective custody.
The victims were dead when officers arrived at 5:15 p.m., police say.
The Star Tribune reports a spokesman for the police department says authorities believe the victims lived in the home where they were found. Neighbors told the newspaper they knew the family involved and saw the father surrender to authorities.
According to FOX 9, the shooting is considered an isolated incident with no threat to the public.
The police statement says the department is increasing patrols in the area around the shooting and encouraging neighbors to share information with officers.
The victims' identities will be released by a medical examiner, police say.
